Our homeschooling art classes are an opportunity for your child to learn a variety of techniques in art and explore imagination! Our classes are designed specifically to introduce your child to a broad range of art forms including but not limited to painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, clay, paper mache, sewing, bead working, plaster, and more! Each session we will explore different techniques in art and brainstorm ideas to come up with unique projects that each student is proud of. Please note that art history may be taught during some programs, but is not the focus of this program. Instead, we seek to focus on imagining projects based on a variety of techniques in art based around a theme.

How much does a session cost?
Each class costs $25. Sessions range from $100-$150.
When is class held?
1-2:30 PM, on Thursdays
What if I miss a class?
Classes will not roll over if they are missed due to illness or missed unexpectedly. If a student knows they are going to miss a class in advance, we are happy to prorate sessions. If a student misses 4 classes or more, we will credit $100 to your account and you can spend them on future sessions or other programs.
Can I stay for the class?
Our classes are drop off only and are designed for children to develop independence, confidence, and learn new techniques in art. Parents are always welcome to come inside and see what projects we are working on at the end!
Session 1
Amazing Animals!

Students will learn a variety of different techniques in art and use animals as their inspiration each week! We will create beaded mosaics, clay texture tiles, paper mache animals, and also create watercolor habitat studies during this amazing animal adventure.
Session 2
Around the World

What would we need to travel around the world? Students will begin by drawing cutting, and creating the way they would like to travel most out of cardboard! We will then pick the countries we will visit for the session. Each country will reveal new art techniques to explore and try! We may be painting dots like Seurat one week, and painting with Indian Ink nature paintings the next!

Clay Creations

There are so many ways to create with clay! We will focus on a different technique each week of this session. Coil building, slab building, pinch pots, and hand building will all be taught.
Session 4
Landscape Art

Let’s learn about foreground, middle ground, and background, as we study the many different types of landscapes that exist! Students will use different materials to create landscapes including canvas painting, torn construction paper, and watercolors to explore the wondrous landscapes of the Earth!
Session 5
Draw + Mix + IMAGINE!

Let’s practice building a still life set-up to draw! Let’s practice drawing a favorite toy! Students will practice drawing from life, shading, and much more! We willl then turn our focus to mixing up different paint colors and learning color theory. We will finish this session by having each student create a drawing masterpiece!
Session 6
Sew Fun!

Students will learn the basics of sewing in this unit. We will then draw and design a simple stuffed animal to sew with felt! Tedious art makes the most loved projects.
